DAVID O’NEIL  |  FOUNDER & CEO

David is the founding father of workforce housing in the mountains. The visionary behind Wellington Neighborhood in Breckenridge, he turned a forgotten pile of rocks into a vibrant neighborhood that over a thousand locals call home. Wellington Neighborhood has transformed its community; as has Peak One Neighborhood in Frisco. David is also known for taking on a challenge, so with WSN — he saw an opportunity to turn a complicated property into something special that will preserve community character in Steamboat for decades to come. David takes his free time very seriously as well: he travels the world seeking adventure and time with family and friends, ultralight backpacking, skiing, sailing, and practicing yoga.

DAVID’S STATS & AWARDS: MEMBER, COLORADO BAR (LAND USE & REAL ESTATE LAW). KEYNOTE SPEAKER: CONFERENCE, APA NATIONAL CONFERENCE, GREENBUILD NATIONAL CONFERENCE, CONSCIOUS CAPITALISM CONFERENCE. MELISSA SHERBURNE | MANAGING PARTNER

Over the years, Steamboat Springs has always had a way of drawing Melissa back. Melissa spent a decade consulting in mountain towns across the west, including Telluride, Aspen, Ridgeway, Gypsum, Silverthorne, Nederland, Jackson, and many more. One of her first consulting gigs after graduate school at Duke University was working on Steamboat’s Open Space and Trails Plan in 2005, then several years later for the Emerald Mountain Park Master Plan. Then in 2014, she joined Brynn Grey and began exploring opportunities for real locals’ housing in Steamboat and soon, the vision for WSN was born. Melissa loves calling the mountains home and lives in Peak One Neighborhood in Frisco with her husband Christian, daughter Sterling and son Sam. Melissa is very involved in her community and serves on the Town Council. She is an avid snowboarder and is happiest spending time in the mountains with her family, no matter what the season.

MELISSA’S STATS & AWARDS: B.A. UNIV. COLORADO AT BOULDER, M.E.M. DUKE UNIVERSITY. URBAN LAND INSTITUTE. APA MERIT AWARD; APA HONOR AWARD; HOUSING COLORADO EAGLE AWARD. SPEAKER: US MOUNTAIN COMMUNITY HOUSING SUMMIT, HOUSING NOW, COLORADO APA CONFERENCE.

MICHAEL MARCHAND | PROJECT COORDINATOR

Mountain living has been on Michael’s mind since learning to ski at the age of 4. Just one conversation with her will have you convinced of her passion for all things Steamboat, her home base since 2014. Having grown up in Louisiana and skiing in Steamboat on vacation, she made the move permanently after graduating from Louisiana State University. She has never looked back and has taken every opportunity to integrate herself into the community. She serves on the boards of Young Professionals Network and Colorado Mountain College, as well as the Steamboat Springs Chamber Public Policy Committee. Michael enjoys all that the mountains have to offer, especially skiing and mountain biking. Her background in real estate and desire to help others find their place in the Yampa Valley has led her to join the WSN team as our local Millennial, and officially as our Project Coordinator.

MICHAEL’S STATS & AWARDS: STEAMBOAT CITY 101 GRADUATE, 2018 20 UNDER 40 NOMINEE, AND LICENSED REAL ESTATE BROKER. B.A. LOUISIANA STATE UNIV., NATURAL DISASTER SCIENCE MANAGEMENT, MINOR IN GEOGRAPHY
